Neil Everett has long followed the Portland Trail Blazers. The veteran ESPN SportsCenter anchor was born in Portland (though raised in Spokane), schooled at Willamette University and the University of Oregon and owns a vacation home with wife Stephanie in Seaside.

Everett, hired this season to serve as premier host of the pre-game and halftime shows on Root TV for Blazer road games, loves to bone up on the team’s history. He mentioned our “Jerome Kersey: Overcoming the Odds” on a recent SportsCenter show and has enjoyed reading the biography of the late, great Blazer small forward during leisure time.
