Canvassing the state: Kersey book events set for Medford, Bend

We are taking to the road for the next two weeks to stage book events for “Jerome Kersey: Overcoming the Odds” in Medford and Bend.

I invite Trail Blazer fans in southern Oregon will join me from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, January 21, at BricktownE Brewery at 44 S. Central Avenue in Medford for a night of celebration of the late, great Blazer small forward. Beginning about 5:30, I will talk about Kersey's life and career and the formidable Blazer teams of the early 1990s that twice made the NBA Finals.

We will follow with a Q&A session about Kersey, the Blazers or anything sports-related you'd like to discuss. We will have copies of the Kersey biography latest book available for sale afterward. Stop by Dennis Clark's fine establishment for some food, libations and sports talk.

From 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, we will venture to Eric Anderson’s new restaurant, “Big E’s Sports Bar & Grill,” at 1012 SE Cleveland Square Loop in Bend. (This is the former Kelly D’s Sports Bar & Grill.) The format will be the same as at BricktownE Brewery.

In both places, we will also have copies of “Civil War Rivalry: Oregon vs. Oregon State” and “Jail Blazers” on hand for sale.
