Kersey book events this week at Irvington Club, Ace’s Sports Bar & Grill

“Jerome Kersey: Overcoming the Odds’ book-signing events will take place twice this week in the state of Oregon.

On Thursday, author Kerry Eggers will appear at one of Portland’s premier tennis facilities, The Irvington Club, from 6-8 p.m. to talk about the book and sign them for purchasers. Eggers will begin a short talk at about 6:30 p.m. — after the Sweet Sixteen matchup with Gonzaga-Arkansas Sweet Sixteen game, which starts at 4:09 p.m. and will be available to watch at Irvington — followed by a question-and-answer session. Irvington is a private club but non-members are invited to attend. This will likely be the final Kersey book event in the Portland area.

On Saturday, Eggers will be at Ace’s Sports Bar & Grill from 5-7 p.m. in Lincoln City. Beginning about 5:30 p.m. — depending on game times of the Elite Eight matchups — he will deliver a short talk about the book project, Kersey’s life and career and the Trail Blazer teams of the early ‘90s that twice reached The NBA Finals.

In both places, Eggers will have copies of the books for sale, personalized and/or autographed if requested. He will also have copies of two of his recent books, “Civil War Rivalry” and “Jail Blazers,” for sale.
